Caer Las is proud to announce that we are ISO 9001 certified
Caer Las is delighted to have been accredited with the ISO 9001:2015 standard across the entire organisation, including our activities at our Head Office, Sir John Morris House, Paxton Street Hostel, Willow, Carmarthenshire Support, Ty Betty Williams, Access Point and Talbot Road locations.
ISO 9001 is an international business standard that specifies criteria for documentation, implementation and certification of the management quality system. This standard is based on many quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services.
Our decision to work towards ISO 9001 accreditation demonstrates our commitment to providing a high-quality and consistent service to our clients, commissioners and funders. It also demonstrates our ongoing investment in technology, development and processes and systems. To become ISO 9001 compliant, Caer Las underwent an evaluation process that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances; all of which work to identify corrective actions that eliminate non-conformance to the quality management standard.
“This is a significant milestone for our charity” says Chief Executive Officer, Jim Bird-Waddington. “Our clients can be very vulnerable people, we need to do absolutely everything we can to ensure we are giving them the best service.”
Jim continues “I am extremely proud of our staff, for this achievement; it proves our commitment to ensuring quality and providing the best possible service. We are dedicated to continual improvement and development. Achieving and maintaining an ISO 9001 accreditation ensures we have the processes and systems in place for this.
Jim also acknowledged the contribution of David Morgan Humphreys of Tarian Inspection Services, who supported the Charity in its journey to certification.
