Willow PROJECT

Willow provides a unique service of 24 hour supported accommodation for tenants with complex and enduring mental health conditions.

The project offers safe and secure accommodation with support tailored to the needs of the individual. Each tenant has a one- bedroom self-contained flat with access to a shared communal lounge and communal garden. Tenants are able to live at the project until they have developed the confidence and skills to move on.

We support tenants to promote and enhance the skills for independent living in the community. Support is person – centred allowing tenants to make choices about their lives, wishes and goals.

Willow has a team of highly experienced and skilled support workers that provide support with a wide range of issues that include:

  • Maintaining a tenancy

  • Budgeting

  • Benefit Entitlement

  • Daily living skills

  • Managing emotional, mental and physical health

  • Managing medication

  • Maintaining Physical and Mental Health

  • Employment / Volunteering / Educational opportunities

  • Social opportunities

  • Support networks/ relationships.

We promote a sense of community and belonging at the project encouraging tenants to participate in activities and develop relationships. Tenant feedback, ideas and opinions are core to tenants feeling part of the community.

The project acts as a stepping stone to more independent accommodation. We work closely with the community mental health teams and other external agencies to ensure that when the time is right for the individual, they move on to permanent accommodation with suitable support.

Willow is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales.
